President Visits Rasfannu and Sultan Park

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu visited Rasfannu and Sultan Park to observe the progress of upgradation works.

The joint effort of state agencies and state-owned corporations began after Muizzu's visit on February 14, 2025. He pledged extensive repairs for the heavily used areas, which are heavily used by Malé City residents. The President sought information on the redevelopment project and temporary measures taken to ensure the area is safe for public use.

Rasfannu has been temporarily opened for public use, with sand leveled, accumulated silt removed, and damaged beach huts, tables, and chairs repaired. President Dr. Muizzu issued instructions to relevant agencies on the planned redevelopment of Rasfannu, including the construction of a row of bathrooms and additional renovations to the existing fishing platform. The Administration is currently planning long-term solutions for public areas like Rasfannu and Sultan Park.
