President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's Message on International Women's Day

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu emphasized the importance of women's involvement in various aspects of society, including education, health, governance, business, and economic operations. He stated that the Maldives Government's primary policy is to enhance opportunities for girls, boost their involvement in governmental administration, and empower women. President Dr Muizzu highlighted the significant roles women play in national and social matters, stating that the nation will always take pride in its daughters.

Women represent the majority in health services and education, sectors crucial for the sustainability and future of society. He emphasized that "to educate a woman is to educate a generation," and that many of the academically excelling students are also girls. President Dr Muizzu also emphasized that the sacred faith of Islam has outlined women's rights and enhanced their dignity and position in society. He emphasized the importance of treating wives with kindness, as one of the final wishes of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) before ascending to heaven.
